Nokia X7-E6 Symbian Anna-Video Review

Nokia has now announced two new smartphone devices- Nokia E6 and Nokia X7-with Symbian operating system.

The Nokia E6 is like BlackBerry-style, and geared toward business people, when Nokia X7, is a high-end, touchscreen- aimed at the gaming and entertainment enthusiasts respectively.

Nokia has use Microsoft software in these both smartphones and it operating system called Symbian Anna. Nokia promises new icons, a faster browser, improved usability, better maps, enterprise-grade security and messaging enhancements. Its also along with easier text input, including the option of a portrait virtual keyboard on touchscreen handsets.
One thing is interesting In Nokia Symbian handsets, including the C6, C7, N8 and E7 is that it will be able to get the Anna update as an over-the-air download and Anna is "the first in a series of updates" coming to Symbian and Ovi Maps has also had a refresh via Anna, to make it easier to use and search for locations, said that Nokia.

The head of Nokia's Smart Devices business Mr. Jo Harlow said, "With these new products and more Symbian devices and user enhancements coming in the near future, we are confident we can keep existing Nokia smartphone customers engaged, as well as attract new first-time and competitor smartphone users."

Nokia said in a statement, "This momentum has resulted in 158 developers from 41 countries now surpassing the million download milestone each for their applications and the number of mobile applications in its Ovi Store has increased more than eight times in the past 12 months to more than 40,000, with as many as five million downloads a day.”

Both handsets will be available in the second quarter of this year and Nokia estimates it will sell 150 million Symbian handsets in the coming years as it moves over to WP7.

  1. The new Nokia x7 and e6 comes with Symbian OS which offers users a faster web experience. It comes with a URL entry bar, a "back" button, a search-integrated address field, extended toolbar buttons, a much faster history navigation, a split screen virtual keyboard and faster page loading.
