Skyline : Movie Trailer

Upcoming Sci-fi film Skyline's plot goes something like this, 'strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth, releasing a bio-mechanical monster to search escape groups.'

From the trailer itself it looks a little like Cloverfield crossed with Independence Day. It mean, when are these alien tourists going to be friendly and just want to stop by to get a few nick-nacks for the folks back home?
Still, it looks effective enough and will be a visual treat on the big screen, having been shot on the new extremely hi-def 'Red' cameras with the intriguing sounding 'Mysterium-X chip' that's something for the tech fans.
The film is in cinemas from 12 November.

Musharraf : Pakistan trained Terrorists

For the first time a shocking admission has been done by one of the top leaderships of Pakistan. The former Pakistan President, Pervez Musarraf, in an interview to a German Magazine has admitted that Pakistan was training terrorists to fight India in Jammu and Kashmir.

Just a day after he announced his return to active politics, Musharraf said that the then government lead by Nawaz Sharif chose a to turn a blind eye to the dispute.

When asked if he thought the Pakistan government had the right to train terrorists, Musharraf said since India was not willing to resolve Kashmir nor discuss it at the UN, Pakistan had the right to promote its interests.

Question: Does that give Pakistan the right to train underground fighters?

Musharraf: Yes, it is the right of any country to promote its own interests when India is not prepared to discuss Kashmir at the United Nations and is not prepared to resolve the dispute in a peaceful manner.

Question: Why did you form militant underground groups to fight India in Kashmir?

Musharraf: They were indeed formed. The government turned a blind eye because they wanted India to discuss Kashmir.

Question: It was the Pakistani security forces that trained them.

Musharraf: The West was ignoring the resolution of the Kashmir issue, which is the core issue of Pakistan. We expected the West -- especially the United States and important countries like Germany -- to resolve the Kashmir issue. Has Germany done that?

Question: Does that give Pakistan the right to train underground fighters?

Musharraf: Yes, it is the right of any country to promote its own interests when India is not prepared to discuss Kashmir at the United Nations and is not prepared to resolve the dispute in a peaceful manner.

2nd Tape by OSAMA

In a second audio recording in 24 hours, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden says Muslim nations haven't done enough to support relief efforts in flood-hit Pakistan. In a copy of the recording provided by the US-based SITE Intelligence Group on Saturday, bin Laden also accuses the media of not reporting on the tragedy effectively.

In his earlier recording, released Friday, bin Laden called for the creation of a relief body to aid Muslims affected by natural disasters and wars. Bin Laden's deputies have issued similar messages recently as a way to angrily criticize the government of Pakistan, where bin Laden is believed to be hiding. But the al-Qaida leader's two messages on the floods have taken a softer tone in an apparent attempt to broaden the group's appeal.

BMW recalls 350,000 cars,
including Rolls-Royces....

BMW is voluntarily recalling 350,000 cars worldwide due to a possible brake problems that the world's biggest premium carmaker said have not caused any accidents."In some cars brake fluid has leaked into the hydraulics, preventing pressure from building up. The customer notices this since he needs to apply more pressure to the brake, but the brakes still work," a company spokesman said on Friday.
Chief Financial Officer Friedrich Eichiner told Reuters he did not expect repairs to require great technical effort but he did not yet have an estimate on how much the recall would cost.
BMW's problem, which tended to occur among vehicles with high mileage, was discovered in models equipped with the eight- and 12-cylinder engines popular in the United States.
Around 345,000 BMW brand 5, 6 and 7 Series models built since 2002 are being recalled worldwide. Of that, almost 200,000 are owned by U.S. residents.
A spokesman for BMW's luxury brand Rolls-Royce said it was unaware of any problems so far in its Phantom family that use exclusively 12-cylinder engines. Rolls-Royce customers tend to own many cars and hence mileage is typically much lower.
Nevertheless, Rolls-Royce will ask all 5,800 Phantom customers to bring their vehicles to a garage for inspection.
"No Rolls-Royce Ghosts were impacted," the spokesman said.
BMW shares fell 2 percent by 1248 GMT, lagging an 0.7 percent decline in the STOXX European car sector index.
Recalls typically are more damaging to a brand's image than to its bottom line due to provisions booked with the sale of vehicles.
BMW's move is not a recall in the strictest sense, a term generally reserved for a compulsory measure required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), often in conjunction with serious safety issues.
Forced recalls can lead to a public relations disaster for a company, as Toyota Motor Corp discovered after issues with unintended acceleration in some models made the Japanese carmaker recall millions of vehicles.
