Olly Murs – New X Factor Host – Profile and Biography

Olly Murs has been signed as co-host for eighth series of ‘Xtra Factor’. He was runner-up of sixth series of X Factor in 2009.

In 2009 Murs was auditioned for The X Factor. He was performing ‘Superstition’ by Stevie Wonder. Murs reached in the final on December 12, 2009 and again he singing ‘Superstition’ and also singing with Robbie Williams on his hit song ‘Angels’. And he came second to Joe McElderry. Olly Murs was performed on ‘The X Factor’ Live tour, with several other X Factor finalists.

Olly Murs was born on 14 May 1984 in Essex, England. His parent is Vicky and Peter Murs. He is brother of twin named Ben and a sister, Fay. Murs was a star striker in the Notley High School in Braintree’s football team.

Manchester United’s supporter Murs worked as an energy advisor in a call Aid for charity prior to ‘The X Factor’. And earlier he also appeared on the TV show ‘Deal or No Deal’.

After he achieved second place on ‘The X Factor’ in early 2010he was signed to ‘Syco Music’ and ‘Epic Records’. And he began recording his debut album ‘Olly Murs’ after X Factor Finalists tour.

Album ‘Olly Murs’ was released in November 2010 and his first single "Please Don't Let Me Go" released on August, 2010 and then charted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and his second official single "Thinking of Me" was charted at number four on the UK Singles Charts. After all ‘Olly Murs ‘ was charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart.

And now it was confirmed Olly Murs would be co- presenting the eighth series of The Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack.
