J. K. Rowling, the author of seven Potter novels shocked and thrilled her fans with announces her new venture www. pottermore com. J.K. Rowling will set this website to her seven Potter novels and unpublished material sold as e-books. The Harry Potter’s magical stories will be available as e-books and audiobooks in multiple languages through her new ‘Pottermore’ website.
‘Pottermore’ will open in October, 2011, although on July 31, 2011 site will go live, when a select group of one million users access the site. However July 31st is Harry Potter and Rowling’s birthday. Then it will be open to all Harry Potter fans from October, 2011 in many languages including Spanish, German, French and English.
Rowling didn’t mention any specific details on how users will be able to use the new site, but she promised that Pottermore site will be a safe, unique online reading experience built around the Harry Potter books. She also added, "This site is a fantastic way for fan creativity to continue. It's amazing for me to be creative in this medium, which didn't exist back in 1990."
J. K. Rowling said about her upcoming and most awaited site in press conference, "I had more than half of the new material already written or in note form. I literally dug some out of boxes, "I generated more material than ever appeared in the books. I thought 'who would ever want to know the significance of all the difference wand woods? .. Now you can go and see. It's such a rich experience to do it this way."
She said, "It is exactly like an ex-boyfriend, finishing writing Harry – I have only ever cried in that way and that much when my mother died. I have never cried for a man the way I cried for Harry Potter."
