Shane Watson hits a record 15 sixes in a career-best 185 not out Innings on April 11 2011 against Bangladesh at Mirpur. In One Day International, 15 Sixes was highest, previous record 12 Sixes by West Indies batsman Xavier Marshall 2008.
The opener batsman Shane Watson was hitting hard and cracked 15 fours and 15 sixes in just 96 balls. And with Watson’s smashing inning Australia achieve a 230 run target with 24 overs only.
Shane completed half century in just 26 balls when his 6th hundred off just 69 balls. This is the third fastest hundred by an Australians after Gilchrist-67 balls and Hayden-66 balls.
Watson was also knock the highest record by an Australia in ODIs, Hayden being best not out 181 runs previously.
Shane Watson was declared man of the match. He said about his fantastic inning, "Everything came off and a little bit of luck as well. I had no idea; I was pretty tired and didn't want to run too much. Was pretty hot and humid so I tried to limit my running and it worked out nicely."
