The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2010 was awarded jointly to Richard F. Heck, Ei-ichi Negishi and Akira Suzuki "for palladium-catalyzed cross couplings in organic synthesis".
The University of Delaware Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will hold a special Nobel Prize webcast event on Friday morning, Dec. 10, as Richard F. Heck, the University's Willis F. Harrington Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Biochemistry, receives the 2010 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
