Today’s technology upgradation speed is very fast. So the ultraportable laptop competition is really heating up. As a news that was confirmed, HP release “two or more” Ultrabooks to rival the Apple MacBook Air. At the D9 conference last month, Hewlett-Packard’s CEO Leo Apotheker said “If you use a state-of-the-art laptop it is as sleek, as slim as an iPad“. And he stated “there’s a whole new product refresh coming out”. He also made some interesting comments about a new ultra-slim HP laptop design.

HP's Ultrabook Laptop |
Specifications : According to sources that the HP Ultrabooks will use Intel's Core i7-2677M (1.8GHz) and i7-2637M (1.7GHz) dual-core CPUs. However, Intel's guidelines for the Ultrabooks class indicate the HP models will be under 0.8-inches thick, have a long battery life.
Launch date : HP must release the Ultrabook within the next 30 days. Meanwhile their competitor Acer has said it plans to release the UX21 by September of 2011 and Apple is expected to launch its updated MacBook Air later this week.
Price : HP is targeting a price at less than £635 ($1,000 USD).
Review : HP Ultrabook will be slightly thicker than Acer UX21 and Apple MacBook Air. Internal components will be nearly identical and ultimately the decision to choose between the Acer UX21 and HP Ultrabook may very well come down to who launches first.
HP’s two or more Ultrabooks are ready to ship, but there a question - Can HP actually compete with the MacBook Air and Acer UX21?
